Designed and developed a public policy that established a permanent fund for affordable housing, addressing the housing crisis. Garnered broad community support and assembled a coalition to ensure the passage of legislation dedicating $150 million of new public funding to build and preserve thousands of affordable units, form an advisory committee composed of community voices overseeing a long-term strategic housing plan to continue to address the affordability crisis resulting in the formation of a new city department.
