Implemented in: Metro Portland area
When: 2021

Designed and developed a successful long-term model that combines affordable housing with vital on-site supportive services. Public funding was leveraged to acquire and convert two underutilized motels into 100+ units of permanent supportive housing. Culturally-specific methods to access social services such as acquiring a driver’s license, applying for food stamps and navigating healthcare systems were deployed onsite. Thus humanizing individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness and creating a path to stability.
